Main St., Tavares. The board will discuss the tentative millage and adopt the TRIM (Truth in Millage) rates. TRIM rates can be lowered, but not raised, once placed on the notices.<\/p>\n<p>Each August, the Lake County Property Appraiser\u2019s office mails property owners TRIM notices, which contain information about property taxes. The TRIM notice lists the taxable value of each property and provides information on proposed millage rates and taxes as estimated by each Lake County taxing authority, which includes the County Commission, School Board, municipalities and others.
