The \u201cTrip Planner\u201d function integrates with Google Transit to enable patrons to get directions on the LakeXpress fixed route system; while a custom-built interactive schedule and maps application allows users to view route maps, find bus stops, and view bus arrival times. Further, the site was built according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and can be translated into various languages using Google Translate.<\/p>\n<p>The website was developed in-house by Communications Department staff in close coordination with Lake County Transit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were excited to partner with Lake County Transit to offer a user-friendly website for transit patrons,\u201d said Kelly LaFollette, director of Lake County\u2019s Communications Department. \u201cWe published the site a few weeks ago as a soft-launch, and so far, we\u2019ve gotten great feedback.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>LakeXpress provides public transit service throughout the county, connecting residents, visitors and employees to educational facilities, recreational activities and employment opportunities. The service operates\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_608669702\">5 a.m. to 8 p.m.<\/span>,\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_608669703\">Monday<\/span>\u00a0through\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_608669704\">Friday<\/span>. Buses do not run on Saturdays, Sundays and on federal holidays.
