The tarp is installed using strips of wood that are secured to the roof with nails or screws.\u00a0This program is available at no cost to eligible primary homeowners in Lake County.<\/p>\n<p>Operation Blue Roof will set up an office at Lake EMS, located at 2761 W. Old U.S. Highway 441, Mount Dora, from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_2030952348\">8 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/span>\u00a0beginning\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_2030952349\">Wednesday, Sept. 27<\/span>\u00a0at least through\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_2030952350\">Monday, Oct. 2<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Only primary residences with standard shingled roofs are eligible to receive a temporary blue roof. Metal roofs and mobile homes may be repaired as practical on a case-by-case basis. Roofs with greater than 50 percent structural damage are not eligible for this program.<\/p>\n<p>For rental property, legal permission for a blue roof to be installed must be obtained from the property owner. Renters must also obtain legal permission from their landlord to continue occupying the residence until more permanent repairs are made.<\/p>\n<p>Homeowners must sign a Right of Entry (ROE) form to allow government employees and contractors onto their property to assess damage and install the temporary covering. \u00a0ROE collection centers will be set up by Corps teams in convenient neighborhood locations. Updated information about collection center locations in each county will be distributed daily.<\/p>\n<p>Current information is available on the Jacksonville District website www.saj.usace.army.mil\/BlueRoof\u00a0and at 1-888-ROOF-BLU\u00a0<a href=\"tel:(888)%20766-3258\">(1-888-766-3258<\/a>). Information is provided in both English and Spanish through this single number.<\/p>\n<p>Sumter County also announced the launch of their Operation Blue Roof stating that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be at 910 N.
