{"id":217972,"date":"2017-11-29T08:00:08","date_gmt":"2017-11-29T13:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=217972"},"modified":"2017-11-29T02:17:50","modified_gmt":"2017-11-29T07:17:50","slug":"keep-lake-beautiful-host-cleanup-sorrento","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/keep-lake-beautiful-host-cleanup-sorrento\/","title":{"rendered":"Keep Lake Beautiful to host cleanup in Sorrento"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>SORRENTO<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Keep Lake Beautiful (KLB) is inviting volunteers to participate in a community cleanup, sponsored by WCA, from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1065979265\">9 a.m. to noon<\/span>\u00a0on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1065979266\">Saturday, Dec. 9<\/span>\u00a0at East Lake Community Park,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=24809+Wallick+Road,+Sorrento&amp;entry=gmail&amp;source=g\">24809 Wallick Road, Sorrento<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Residents are encouraged to clean their homes and yards and dispose of excess trash, passenger car tires, and any items that could hold water and become a breeding ground for mosquitoes that spread the Zika virus. Lake County\u2019s Household Hazardous Waste Mobile Unit will also be on-site to accept household hazardous waste, paint, fuel and more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KLB will provide gloves, safety vests, trash bags and water to those helping to clean the community. Volunteers must be 16 years or older or be accompanied by an adult. Participants are encouraged to wear proper attire, sunscreen, and insect repellent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since its launch, KLB has hosted or partnered on more than two dozen projects including community and waterway cleanups, roadside litter pickups, neighborhood and school beautification events, tree plantings and household hazardous waste collection events.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cKLB\u2019s first cleanup event three years ago was held in East Lake and was met with an outpouring of community support,\u201d said KLB Coordinator Will Dawson. \u201cSince then, our volunteer base has continued to grow as we have branched out into communities across Lake County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KLB is seeking motivated community-minded volunteers to mobilize within their neighborhoods to spread KLB\u2019s mission of beautifying Lake County by engaging the community. The Litter Reporter is viewable on mobile devices and desktop computers and lets users submit data about a particular area, as well as attach corresponding photos.
