{"id":218970,"date":"2018-03-07T17:58:32","date_gmt":"2018-03-07T22:58:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=218970"},"modified":"2018-03-07T18:32:03","modified_gmt":"2018-03-07T23:32:03","slug":"motorist-charged-with-dui-manslaughter-during-police-chase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/motorist-charged-with-dui-manslaughter-during-police-chase\/","title":{"rendered":"Motorist charged with DUI manslaughter during police pursuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">WILDWOOD, Fla. &#8212; A 23-year-old man was charged with DUI manslaughter early Tuesday after he allegedly plowed his vehicle into a second vehicle while fleeing state troopers in Sumter County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">Kristi Reed, 61, of Homosassa Springs, died on the scene. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">The suspect, Troy Kinkade, of Plant City, also was charged vehicular homicide, driving while license suspended involving a death and leaving the scene of a crash involving a death as well as felony warrants that included resisting an officer with violence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">Kinkade remained in the Sumter County jail late Tuesday without bail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a trooper was conducting speed enforcement at the Sumter-Marion County line on Interstate 75 \u00a0in Wildwood just before 6 a.m. Tuesday, when he clocked a southbound Nissan Altima at 92 mph. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">The trooper tried to overtake the 2017 Altima, which was being driven by Kinkade, only for the suspect to \u201cabruptly\u201d exit the interstate at State Road 44. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">The report adds Kinkade then ran the red light at the exit and slammed into a 2006 Toyota Camry, driven by Reed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">Kinkade then allegedly jumped out of his car and ran before the trooper caught him on foot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-family: 'Helvetica','sans-serif';font-size: 10.5pt\">Kinkade and his three passengers sustained minor injuries.
