{"id":220774,"date":"2018-10-04T12:56:32","date_gmt":"2018-10-04T16:56:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=220774"},"modified":"2019-11-27T01:36:54","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T06:36:54","slug":"city-of-clermont-adds-new-youth-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/city-of-clermont-adds-new-youth-council\/","title":{"rendered":"City of Clermont Adds New Youth Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CLERMONT &#8212;<\/strong> The City of Clermont announced the formation of a new Youth Council program that gives Lake County High School students the opportunity to participate and learn more about City Government.<\/p>\n<p>City Manager Darren Gray said, \u201cWe are excited about connecting with our younger citizens\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 10 students applied for the program; five from South Lake High School, three from Lake Minneola High School, and two from East Ridge High School.<\/p>\n<p>Clermont City Clerk, and sponsor of the program, Tracy Ackroyd Howe, said she \u201chopes some will be inspired to pursue careers in public administration\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The New Youth Council plans to meet for six months. They plan to collaborate with the departments on a project that will benefit them and present it to City Council.
