Although Florida laws regarding cannabis have been loosening, the State still aggressively prosecutes these cases.<\/p>\n<p>Punishment for cannabis possession lies heavily on the amount possessed. Since possession of more than 20 grams is usually associated with the intent to sell, it carries a much more significant punishment.<\/p>\n<p>Kosinski&#8217;s penalties, if convicted, could include up to five years in prison, strict probation terms, and steep fines of up to $5,000.
