{"id":220924,"date":"2018-10-09T23:03:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-10T03:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=220924"},"modified":"2019-11-27T01:36:51","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T06:36:51","slug":"golf-cart-dui-occurs-in-the-villages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/golf-cart-dui-occurs-in-the-villages\/","title":{"rendered":"Villages Resident Charged with DUI After Found Asleep in A Golf Cart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>THE VILLAGES &#8212;<\/strong> A forty-eight-year-old Village of Liberty Park man pleaded no contest in Sumter County Court on October 1.<\/p>\n<p>This conviction stems from an incident that occurred on May 6 at 3:30 a.m. when Brett Wesley Belden was found passed out in a golf cart.<\/p>\n<p>Sumter County Sheriff\u2019s Deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious person. A yellow golf cart was found parked just north of Odell Circle on Buena Vista Boulevard with Belden asleep at the wheel.<\/p>\n<p>Belden reportedly responded that he had been out for a ride in the golf cart and was just heading home. Additionally, he did admit to having a few beers at home before deciding to drive the golf cart that evening.<\/p>\n<p>Belden refused to provide a breath sample or to complete the field sobriety exercises.
