{"id":221042,"date":"2018-10-11T15:25:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-11T19:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=221042"},"modified":"2019-11-27T01:36:50","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T06:36:50","slug":"man-arrested-after-using-neighbors-wifi-to-share-child-porn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/man-arrested-after-using-neighbors-wifi-to-share-child-porn\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Arrested After Using Neighbor&#8217;s WiFi to Share Child Porn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS &#8212;\u00a0<\/strong>A 56-year-old Howey-in-the-hills man was arrested Monday afternoon following an investigation by the Florida Department\u00a0of Law Enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>FDLE Agents received a call from the Seminole County Sheriff&#8217;s Office on September 10 regarding an online investigation into child pornography that led them to an IP address associated with a computer located in Lake County.<\/p>\n<p>Since the computer was outside of the Seminole County Sheriff&#8217;s jurisdiction, the case was then handed over the to FDLE Cyber Crimes Task Force.<\/p>\n<p>Agents tracked the IP address to a home on South Palm Avenue in Howey-in-the-hills.<\/p>\n<p>After executing a search warrant and interviewing the homeowner, agents learned that the homeowner had given his neighbor access to his WiFi.<\/p>\n<p>A search warrant for the neighbor&#8217;s home was then obtained and executed on the home located directly across the street from the original location.<\/p>\n<p>During their search, agents questioned Troy Ogden who reportedly admitted to searching the internet for sexually explicit images of young underage girls and downloading them using peer-to-peer software.<\/p>\n<p>Ogden&#8217;s laptop was taken to an offsite cyber lab where technicians later reported finding seven sexually explicit files of images and videos depicting girls as young as eight-years-old nude or committing sexual acts.<\/p>\n<p>Ogden was subsequently arrested and charged with seven felony counts of possession of child pornography.
