The long wait is almost over as residents yearn for the familiar chili dogs and home-made root beer at Carlson’s Drive-In.<\/p>\n
The restaurant announced they will be reopening Thursday, February 15 once again starting their 70th year serving hot\u00a0dogs, sausages, sandwiches, and more.<\/p>\n
Carlson’s has set a long-time tradition in Michigan City that many residents look forward to. The restaurant normally closes each year near the end of October and reopens a few months later in February.<\/p>\n
Although they aren’t slinging their famous Chicago style dogs and fresh root beer, the business opens its parking lot during the holidays to sell Christmas trees.<\/p>\n
