Residents and officials are getting excited as we come closer to the date for the annual Michigan City Kiddie Parade.<\/p>\n
The parade which will feature kids 0-12 years of age, will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. and will begin on Franklin Street at 7th Street and travel north to 4th Street, ending at the Michigan City Public Library.<\/p>\n
Judging will be held at 1:00 p.m. where contestants will be judged on their costumes, decorated wagons, decorated bikes, pets, and organized groups.<\/p>\n
The Kiddie Parade is part of a mid-year “Summertime Christmas” celebration that has been hosted by the Michigan City Police Department since 1955.<\/p>\n
