MICHIGAN CITY, Ind.\u00a0<\/strong>— A man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound early Sunday morning according to Michigan City Police.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the Canterbury apartment complex located at 1200 Mallard Drive just before 6 a.m. after received 911 calls reporting a man being shot.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, officers found 39-year-old Darnell Crawford lying on the sidewalk on the 200 block of Herring Gull Lane.<\/p>\n

Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n

Detectives are currently interviewing multiple witnesses and the investigation is still in its early stages according to Sgt. Chris Yagelski of the Michigan City Police.<\/p>\n
