{"id":3649,"date":"2018-08-18T13:01:46","date_gmt":"2018-08-18T18:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcjournal.thegraphicgeek.com\/?p=3649"},"modified":"2018-08-18T13:04:17","modified_gmt":"2018-08-18T18:04:17","slug":"marquette-high-donates-land-to-habitat-for-humanity-pledges-student-involvement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thegraphicgeek.com\/demo-mcj\/marquette-high-donates-land-to-habitat-for-humanity-pledges-student-involvement\/","title":{"rendered":"Marquette High Donates Land to Habitat for Humanity, Pledges Student Involvement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MICHIGAN CITY, Ind.<\/strong> &#8212; Marquette Catholic High School announced on Friday that as part of the largest community service project in the school&#8217;s history, they have donated a parcel of land located at the corner of Ohio and 9th Streets in Michigan City to the LaPorte County Habitat for Humanity to provide housing for a local family.<\/p>\n<p>The organization is expected to complete the construction on the former Flanigan Garage site by next spring.<\/p>\n<p>Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that assists qualifying families with housing in their mission for\u00a0\u201ca world where everyone has a decent place to live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The LaPorte County Habitat for Humanity has built 52 homes for families in Michigan City, LaPorte, and Kingsbury since 1986.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Community service is at the heart of our mission at Marquette Catholic.
