MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — Tornado sirens were heard throughout Michigan City Tuesday night after an officer in Kingsbury spotted a funnel cloud according to a Facebook post on LaPorte County E911’s Facebook page.<\/p>\n

According to the organization’s update, the officer spotted the cloud near headed northeast with no rotation.<\/p>\n

As a precaution, officials activated the sirens to warn residents.<\/p>\n

Although no clouds have been spotted within the city, current weather conditions could lead to sudden touchdowns and resident are urged to be prepared and stay alert of tour surroundings.<\/p>\n

A few minutes after their original post, the LaPorte County E911 announced that the funnel cloud was dissipating.<\/p>\n
